Ciera Gainey, Esq.

Ciera Gainey is an accomplished civil litigator whose practice centers on premises-liability defense and motor-vehicle negligence. A deft strategist, she balances early-resolution negotiation with formidable courtroom advocacy—skills that have earned her recognition by The National Black Lawyers as one of Florida’s “Top 40 Under 40.” Whether evaluating complex injury claims, drafting airtight motions, or delivering persuasive arguments to a jury, Gainey’s focus remains steadfast: ethical, efficient, client-centered results.

Gainey built her reputation managing high-volume caseloads and leading legal teams as Senior Partner at a prominent trial firm. Her dual perspective—having litigated for both plaintiffs and defendants—gives her rare insight into valuing claims and anticipating opposing tactics. Earlier in her career, she was hand-selected by the Hon. Stephanie Ray as a judicial extern at Florida’s First District Court of Appeal, sharpening her appellate research and writing skills. Today she mentors aspiring attorneys and continues to be lauded for championship performances in national moot-court and mock-trial competitions.

Gainey earned her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law (2018), graduating as a Pro Bono Honors scholar and receiving the SBA Student Leadership Award. Her academic excellence includes a CALI Excellence Award for Torts I and titles in multiple national advocacy competitions. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida (2010).
