Katie Williams is an experienced litigation attorney with more than ten years of practice in civil litigation, trial and appellate advocacy, and consumer debt defense. She manages high-volume litigation from intake through appeal, with extensive experience in motion practice, settlement negotiations, legal research and writing, and courtroom advocacy. Ms. Williams is recognized for her strategic approach, disciplined execution, and commitment to achieving efficient, client-focused results.
Background
Ms. Williams has tried hundreds of cases, secured numerous favorable outcomes, and consistently exceeded firm settlement benchmarks while mentoring legal staff and handling complex post-judgment and appellate matters. Previously, Ms. Williams represented disabled veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Board of Veterans' Appeals, drafting appellate briefs and advocating for veterans seeking disability benefits. She also maintained a broad legal practice handling family law, criminal defense, probate, estate planning, insurance defense, evictions, and appeals. Before beginning her legal career, Katie served as a Master-at-Arms in the United States Navy, where she held leadership and training roles, while supporting military law enforcement and survivor advocacy initiatives. Outside of her passion for the practice of law and serving others, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, while navigating life as parents to two toddlers, and their 8-year-old pug, Lulu! Favorite family activities include visiting the botanic gardens, the zoo, museums, and experiencing different cultures and cuisine!
Education
Ms. Williams earned her Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2015. While in law school, she served as a Student Ambassador, co-coordinated the Presenting Legal Activities to Youth (P.L.A.Y.) Street Law program, and served as Secretary of the Women's Law Student Association. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland University College in 2011, while serving overseas.
